He graduated. LL.B. in. 1885,
LL.M. in 1886, B A. in 1887, and; M.A. in
1889. He was called to the Victorian bar in
1885.

wrongs (civil and criminal) and proce-
dure it the Melbourne University.

His son, born on 1 1 February 1904, was to become a County Court Judge,

With the late Sir. C. B. Finlayson,
K.G., he drafted the Victorian Criminal Code, completed in 1905

In 1906 he undertook the
consolidation of the Supreme Court Rules: VPRS 266/P000/619/1906/1197

1910 he was appointed
