Abstract

Sir Daryl Dawson, judge, talks about his family background, his education in Canberra and Melbourne, doing law at the Melbourne Law School and his trip to the United States on a Fulbright Scholarship. He talks about being admitted to the Bar in 1957, becoming Solicitor-General in Victoria in 1974, followed by his experiences as a judge at the High Court.
